How does the HR tracker measure my heart rate?

GOQii uses an optical sensor to measure heart rate. When your heart beats, your capillaries expand and contract based on blood volume changes. Photo signals from the sensor on the tracker can reflect onto the skin to detect blood volume changes and measure heart rate.
